A total of 36 locomotives were built with 87001 - 87035 being identical and known as class 87/0. The 36th loco was numbered 87101 (87/1) and had major equipment differences from the rest of the class. When British Rail was privatised, all but 87101 were transferred to Virgin Trains. They continued their duties until the arrival of the Pendolinos. This DVD features footage of all 36 locomotives filmed between 1996 & 2002. The early years with Intercity livery in abundance slowly gives way to Virgin Trains. As well as passenger workings we see BR Blue 87101 working freight along the West Coast Main Line. Filming locations include Acton Bridge, Bletchley, Crewe, Norton Bridge (now closed), Rugby, Rugeley Trent Valley, Stafford, Tamworth, Tring, Warrington Bank Quay and Willesden. The footage lasts for approximately 180 minutes (3 hours Double DVD). Check out my other items! Condition: New, Type: DVD, Company/ Era/ Region: Post-Privatisation
